Painted in 1945. Terzis (born c. 1925, died 2000), a friend and employer at one time of Rosalinda (Nadea) Dragonette Loftus, sister of Jessica Dragonette, and co-owner of a Persian Store at 540, Madison Avenue, New York was painted in New York, but the artist seems to have been introduced to one of the two Terzis brothers by Mrs Loftus on January 11, 1943 according to his diary. He was the younger brother of Joseph Terzis whom the artist also painted in this year.
