Portrait of a woman, probably in her 60s, holding yellow roses on her lap, oil on canvas 37 1/4 x 32 1/4 ins (Frame? – picture probably actually 30 x 25 ins), signed and dated upper left ‘A Muller-Ury 1936’.

The picture is clearly dated 1936 and may well be turn out to be the portrait of Mrs Charles Trippe which Muller-Ury painted before his departure for Europe in the summer of that year. Unfortunately there are no helpful makings on the stretcher.
