Emilio Müller (13 December 1857 – 15 October 1899) was the oldest of Alois and Genovefa Müller’s nineteen children. The sitter died in Santiago in Chile.
This portrait was painted about the same time as the portrait of Felice Lombardi, c. 1880-81.
