Mary McKee photographed with Muller-Ury on Pilatus, August 8, 1907. His annotation says the trip was made with Mrs Anne Walker of Philadelphia and Monsignor Thomas Kennedy of the North American College.

The sitter was President Benjamin Harrison’s grand-daughter and President William Harrison’s great-great-granddaughter.  She was born on July 11, 1888 and married Curt Hugo Reisinger (1891 – 1964), a financier, on November 15, 1913. They were divorced in 1922. She died on March 2, 1967.

A photograph of Muller-Ury and a lady in the artist’s papers is annotated by the artist as ‘Miss Mary McKee – Pilatus Kulm August 8, 1907. Trip with Mrs. Walker and Monsignor Kennedy.’ Both these sitters were painted by Muller-Ury about 1907, and it may well that this is the date of this picture. Until 1964 the sitter lived at 2, East 55th Street, New York.

The artist also painted the sitter’s daughter, Miss Mary REISINGER.
