Saint John the Baptist as a child pointing to the Christ Child asleep on a lion’s skin besides him, St. John’s cross with ‘Agnus Dei’ on a ribon to the left, in a landscape. Oil on canvas, 27.1/4″ x 37.3/4″ (69.3 cm x 95.8 cm). Unsigned. A label on the stretcher reads ‘von Munchen, Centr. Eilgnt’, and in pencil ‘nach Goschenon, Schweiz’.
