The academic drawing upon which the figure of Leda was based.

Apparently painted for the Ticinese sculptor Vincenzo Vela who apparently persuaded Alois Müller-Lombardi to let his son study art professionally. Unfortunately, not part of the collection displayed at the Museo Vela, Ligornetto 6853, Ticino, Switzerland. The photograph of this picture is stuck in the artist’s first photographic album. An academic drawing was evidently used for this work, dated Rome, December 1883.
