Catalogued mistakenly by the museum as the ‘Burkell-Wasserfaelle’ This was a very large canvas, apparently reduced in width by the canvas turned over the stretcher 9cm on the right and 17cm on the left, and must have been painted in emulation of the enormous canvases of men like Thomas Cole (1801-1848), Asher B. Durand (1796-1886) and Frederic Edwin Church (1826-1900).  The museum catalogues it, according to what appears to be in the photograph a signature lower right, as by Adolf Müller, rather than A. Muller-Ury which would be correct for the date it was painted, between 1885 and 1887.
