The Peter Juley photograph in the artist’s papers.

The sitter was born in 1937, the daughter of Frederick (“Fritz”) Charles Havemeyer, and great-grand-daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Theodore A. Havemeyer.

Painted in 1940s. Dr. Gayelord Hauser, the famous dietician who was a friend of Jessica Dragonette, and who lived in Beverly Hills, California, apparently owned an autograph copy of this picture.

The sepia photograph in the artist’s papers was taken by Peter A. Juley & Son, in which the portrait is framed differently.
